Our monthly Quiz Night returns to the Lamb & Flag on Thursday 24th September!

This month we’ve still got a charity slot available. If you’re involved with a local charity or good cause and would like to be our chosen charity for the evening, get in touch with us.

If nobody claims the slot before quiz night, we’ll hand the decision over to the winners — 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁!

👨‍🍳 𝙃𝙀𝘼𝘿 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙁 | 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙇𝘼𝙈𝘽 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙁𝙇𝘼𝙂 🐑
We’re looking for a Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen at the Lamb & Flag.

This is a hands-on role in a busy, 7-day-a-week pub and restaurant, with responsibility for leading the kitchen team and maintaining high standards across every service.

The role will include:
🍴 Leading day-to-day kitchen operations
👨‍🍳 Managing and developing the kitchen team
📸 Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation
📝 Stock management, ordering and kitchen organisation
🧽 Food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards
🥘 Working with our management team on menus, specials and the continued development of our food offering

We’re looking for someone organised, reliable and confident leading a team, but equally happy to get stuck in when service gets busy.

Full-time position, including a mixture of daytime, evening, weekday and weekend shifts.

It’s been a busy one in Rhayader, and we’re ready to round off the long weekend at the Lamb & Flag.

🍴 Food served 𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝘿𝘼𝙔 from 12pm–8:30pm

No break in kitchen service, so there’s plenty of time to call in for lunch, an afternoon bite or finish the Bank Holiday with an evening meal.

🏍️ 𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙂𝙋 𝙤𝙛 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚!

Last night’s opening parade certainly didn’t disappoint. Rhayader was packed, the atmosphere was brilliant, and it set things up perfectly for a huge weekend ahead.

We’re open every day from 11:30am this weekend, with food served all day from 12pm until 8:30pm with no break in service.

Drop in between events, grab something to eat and refuel before heading back out for more. 🍔🍺

🏍️ 𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙂𝙋 𝙤𝙛 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚!

It’s great to welcome the EnduroGP of Wales back to Rhayader for a third year. The town is gearing up for another fantastic week, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone.

One of the highlights has to be the opening parade on Thursday. The streets come alive as the riders make their way through town for a real spectacle not to be missed!

To keep the atmosphere going, Eifion Davies will be playing live in our b**r garden on Thursday evening, making the perfect soundtrack to parade night. 🎶🍻

We’re open every day from 11:30am, with food served all day from 12pm until 8:30pm.

🎧 DJ Herman takes over afterwards, keeping the party going late into the night.

Our outdoor DJ booth will be set up for the day, bringing the music outside and adding to the Carnival atmosphere.
