Our Story
For the Ladies and Gentlemen who imbibe in, and enjoy the company of others at The Garland. A classic Victorian street corner local dating from 1865, the Garland is just south of the town centre. It was originally built as the Anchor but changed its name shortly before Harveys acquired it from Ind Coope in 1992. Originally it was a Mellersh & Neale of Reigate pub. The full range of Harveys ales is sold including every seasonal beer and one-off brews the landlord can get hold of. Eight handpumps dispense these. The maximum number of cask beers sold at any one time is currently twelve. Much charity work is undertaken and the pub enjoys a strong local community. Darts and Bar Billiards can be played here. Voted the Camra Surrey and Sussex Pub of the Year in 2002 and 2011, the Garland is a great pub. Your hosts are Dave and Tina
