Our GRAND OPENING is this Saturday, 7th November, and you’re all invited.

Come and discover our little place on Station Road — the cocktails, the flavours, the cosy corners and the Chin Chin charm. Somewhere to meet for a drink, settle in for a chat and feel welcome.

We’re bringing Sai Kong back to Station Road for the occasion! Live from 8.30pm, bringing those familiar good times and reminding us that you really can dance to just about anything.

We’ll be coming round with welcome prosecco and sharing plates, giving you a little taste of what’s to come.

We’ve put a lot of love into this place. Now we just need you to help us bring it to life. Come in, get comfy and celebrate with us — everyone’s welcome.

Well… it’s been a little while since we said goodbye, hasn’t it? ❤️

There are so many lovely memories on this page, and now we have something new to share with you.

Welcome to Chin Chin, now open at 62 Station Road, Redcar! 🥂

A new bar, a new home a little further along from where Majuba used to be, and a name that means a lot to us.

Chin Chin was where our very first bar adventure began. To bring that name back, in the right place and at the right time, feels very special. We’ve put plenty of love into its new home, and now we get to welcome you in.

We’re opening our doors this Halloween weekend for a little first look before our big opening celebration next weekend. Come and have a nosey, find your favourite seat and say hello. Seeing a few familiar faces would mean a lot, and there’s always room for new ones too.

There’s lovely entertainment and plenty of evenings together to look forward to. We’ll be sharing what’s coming up right here, so stay with us as this page becomes the home of Chin Chin.

Here’s to being together again, catching up over a drink and giving ourselves a few more stories to tell.

This is one of the hardest things we’ve had to write. Majuba is now closed.

Majuba was never just a bar. It was people. It was laughter across the room, dancing on a Saturday night, quiet chats at the bar, birthdays, live music and that feeling that summer never really left.

We gave it everything we had. Every detail mattered. Every night mattered. But most of all, every single one of you mattered.

Thank you for walking through the doors, for supporting us, for believing in the vision and for making it what it was.

We will always be proud of what we built together.

Redcar is slowly being taken over by Thatchers Juicy Apple C***r, and honestly… we get it.

We’ve now got it on tap at Majuba. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing a sweet summer in a glass. It’s really good. Really juicy.

Tonight at Majuba, we’ve got everyone’s favourite James Taylor playing live from 8pm.

Right, Majuba team is here. Boss is not watching. Probably.

Tonight we’re doing two things at once.

First, live music. Local Duo “Face Value” are back from 8PM. Last time they took over your hearts, the dancefloor and any dignity left by 10pm. You danced, you sang, you stayed longer than planned. So yes, they’re doing it again.

Second, we’re taking over the bar.

It’s the Boss Lady’s birthday celebration tonight. She asked for low key. Quiet. Nothing made of it.

Absolutely not.

So here’s what’s happening whether she likes it or not.

• Extra deals waiting at the bar

While we’re shut this weekend, we realised something we haven’t shouted about enough.

All this time, we’ve had a really great pool table tucked away in our back room. Those who’ve played on it already know how good it is. The only thing it’s missing… is The Team.

So we’re changing that.

We’re opening the door to anyone who’d like to be part of the Majuba Pool Team. We’ll offer dedicated training nights, credit towards those sessions and our aim is to get into a pool league so we can play, improve and enjoy it together.

Team members will receive a unique membership card giving 25% off at Majuba at all times while they’re part of the team. For league nights and major games, there will also be pint and food deals.

With the jukebox for your own music and the pool table ready to go, it’s all about good games, good company and no distractions from the main bar.

We are "shut", "closed", "locked up" for this weekend.

We are taking a little time to REVAMP our cosy place and make it even cosier. A few behind-the-scenes touches, a bit of a refresh and some Majuba love going into the space.

We will be back open from 16th January, so do not forget to come and check what is new at Majuba.

Anyone whose birthday we will miss this January up to the 16th, pop in. Birthday shots will be waiting for you. January birthdays deserve better.

Lots of new entertainment, game and some of the best hangouts are coming this year. Majuba is here to be your go-to place to unwind, catch up and stay longer than planned.
