Introducing The Cunning Man in Reading, a charming country pub nestled in a picturesque location. With a name inspired by a local legend of a 'cunning man' (a good wizard who would help to protect people from dark spirits and witches), this pub-restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience. Step inside and be transported back in time as you admire the meticulously restored interior, complete with a traditional thatched roof. The restaurant page invites you to indulge in a menu filled with hearty favourites, country pub classics, and seasonal dishes. Pair your meal with a selection from the well-stocked bar, which features cask ales, fine wines, and a wide range of British gin. Whether you prefer to dine in the beautiful gardens or cosy up by the crackling log fires, The Cunning Man offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for all occasions. From large group bookings to private dining, after-work drinks, work meetings and even afternoon tea or brunch, this enchanting establishment caters to every need. And for those seeking entertainment, live comedy on Mondays, live music on Fridays and a thrilling quiz night on Thursdays are sure to keep you entertained. With its rich history, stunning countryside views and proximity to the River Kennet, The Cunning Man is the perfect destination for a memorable dining experience.
