A year and a half ago, we had the privilege of meeting two absolutely incredible brothers running to cure dementia. Their mum was cruelly taken from them at just 52 years old. Heartbreakingly, both Jordan and Cian inherited the faulty gene that causes it, meaning they will likely develop the condition in their 40s.
You might remember the viral story about the lad who ran the London Marathon with a fridge strapped to his back - that was Jordan!
Over the last 33 days, he and his brother Cian have achieved the unthinkable: running 33 marathons in 33 consecutive days. Yesterday they crossed the final finish line today, on what would have been their mom's 63rd birthday. Words completely fail me. "Proud" and "emotional" don't even begin to cover what it's been like watching them complete this immense task.
I’ve followed these lads ever since they first ran past the Guild, and I am in total awe of them. Jordan & Cian, meeting you was a privilege, and following your journey has been an absolute honour. You are truly two of the most amazing human beings on this planet.
Please take a moment to read their story, follow their incredible journey, and donate to their cause if you can.( Link in bio)
F**K DEMENTIA.
