It’s not often we do this but we know Will personally through our family and it’s devastating news for everyone.

Sadly Will had an accident on holiday in Turkey last week where he’s broken his neck in a pool and is likely to be paralysed from the neck down for life. He’s only 24 and there’s been an issue with the insurance cover so he’s not covered and we are trying to raise £150k to cover the hospital bills etc and it’s rising by £2k everyday so we need to get him home.

If there’s anything you can contribute it would be greatly appreciated.

Well done to all the students getting their A-Level, T-Level and BTEC results today! We hope you got the results you wanted and we wish you well in your next chapter in life.

We’d like to wish a special well done to a young chap you may have seen around the pub over the years, our son Zach!

He’s smashed it with A* in Maths, Further Maths, an A in Accounting and a B in Physics!

What can we say! Super proud parents and we wish him well as he’ll be heading off to Lancaster Uni! 👏👏👏

There we have it!! With everyone’s kind donations and raffle ticket purchases we can confirm we raised a WHOPPING £4010 for Heartbeat NWCC on our Yew Tree Hike For Hearts challenge!!

Today, Julia and Sally had the pleasure of visiting The Yew Tree, where they were able to personally thank Mark and all of the walkers who took part in the Yew Tree’s Hike for Hearts in support of Heartbeat!❤️

Mark organised this incredible challenge to give back to Heartbeat after using our services following his open-heart surgery for an aortic valve replacement. His journey is a fantastic example of what can be achieved with determination, rehabilitation and the right support. Mark really is proof that you can regain your fitness and get back to doing the things you love after major heart surgery.

Thanks to the dedication and determination of everyone who took part and the incredible generosity of those who sponsored them, they raised an amazing £4,010, plus Gift Aid!

Thank you once again to Mark, all of the walkers, everyone at The Yew Tree, and everyone who donated. Your support truly makes a difference.

So we've threatened it long enough and now we've set the date for the NEW MENU!! WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST!!

We'll still have loads of your usual favourites, we'll still have as many Light Bite options as we can, and we'll still have plenty of Gluten Free choices too!

There's even a rumour going around that a new tried and tested Cheese & Onion Pie may well be making a return to the menu!

What else would you like see on the new menu?
