Good evening everyone, it’s Jack here.
I wanted to post an update, as it’s been nearly 12 weeks since we temporarily closed the club due to unforeseen circumstances.
As some of you are aware, on 15th April my dad (Cav) suffered a major stroke and has been in hospital ever since. Every week we continue to see improvements, and we are so proud of him and how far he has come since it first happened.
I wanted to take a moment to express our appreciation to everyone who has shown their support and helped myself, Sophie and Vicky throughout this time. It really has been heartwarming to see so many people show their love and support for my dad and the family.
Recently, many people have been asking when my dad might return to the club and what the future holds for the PVC, especially those who regularly visit or have events booked in the future. I thought it would be helpful to address this.
At the moment, it is simply too early to know what the next steps will be. Right now, my dad’s health and recovery are our absolute priority.
I also want to stress just how much the Village Club means to our family, and especially to my dad, who has not only been the landlord for over 15 years but has also been a customer since his late teens. Unfortunately, we are unable to give any dates or timeframes regarding when the club will reopen.
I wanted to make this post simply to say thank you. We hear your kind words and support every week, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you. Your kindness has meant more to us than you could ever know.
