Hi everyone - long time no see!
It is with great pleasure that we can let you all know that we are now back open hurray 🎉🍾
After 10 days of closure we are very excited for you to come and see our shiny new pub!
We’ve had a bit of a makeover and have installed new televisions and a new sound system for you - along with an additional dart board in the bar side.
We would love for you to come and have a nosey this weekend and let us know what you think.
We hope to see you all over the bank holiday weekend - there is a lot of sport on! We will be showing as much of it as possible but if there is something in particular you would like to watch - just let Simon or a member of the team know.

Hi everyone.

Thanks for your patience and understanding this week - it’s been a tough one!

It is with a heavy heart that we are to inform you, due to staff illness, we will not be open until after Christmas.

We have tried to stay open as long as possible this week but customer and staff safety is more important.

We are so sorry to have to do this - we love serving all of our lovely customers over Christmas and are absolutely gutted that we will not be seeing you all on Christmas Day this year.

The situation is being reviewed daily and as soon as it is safe to do so - we will be reopening our doors.

We hope you understand this decision and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and stay safe.

Hopefully we will see you for the new year!

Today: 2pm-10pm

Tuesday 21st: 2pm-10pm

Wednesday 22nd: 2pm-10pm

Thursday 23rd: 12pm-11pm

Friday 24th: 12pm-11.30pm

Saturday 25th: 12pm-3pm

Sunday 26th: 12pm-11pm

Hi everyone,

It’s now official - Boris has given the green light to re-open on Monday 17th May. We cant’t wait to open our doors (again) and welcome you all back. It’s been a long 7 months for us all!

There is no need to book - it will be first come first served. We will be working under similar conditions to when we closed i.e table service, rule of 6 or 2 households, track and trace etc but the good news is there is no curfew hurray! So last orders will be 12-11pm Sunday to Thursday and 12pm-12am Friday and Saturday.

Unfortunately face masks are still to be worn when not seated at your table but hopefully this won’t be for long.

We have a new app to use to assist with table service and to hopefully make things easier for our lovely customers. It’s very simple to use - just download the app called ‘Round’ and follow the instructions on the picture below.

We hope to see you all next week and can’t wait to get back to being your favourite local once again!

We at the Royal Oak would like to say, although there will be subdued celebrations this evening, we would have loved to have brought in the New Year with you all here but unfortunately we can’t ☹️ (thanks covid 🖕🏻) Safety is paramount at the moment and we hope you all stay safe.

Keep those spirits up and raise a glass this New Year and lets all hope for a big light at the end of this very long tunnel we are in.

Hi everyone,

As I’m sure most of you are aware - we have to close our doors once again for the foreseeable future ☹️

We would just like to say a huge thank you to each and everyone of you who visited us during these strange and testing times and also for your continued support and compliance with all these endless new restrictions. It hasn’t been easy but wouldn’t have been possible without your support.

We will keep you posted as much as possible and keep in contact with as many of you as possible.

Please stay safe and positive over the next few weeks - we will be back! (And hopefully with less bloody rules)
