☀️ Getting The Bourne Arms Summer Ready! ☀️

Although we’ve only been at The Bourne Arms for just over a week, we’re already hard at work getting everything ready for a fantastic summer ahead.

A huge thank you to Danny and the team at Total Shine Solutions for spending the day helping us get the pub looking its best. From window cleaning and power washing to gutter clearing and freshening up our outdoor areas, their hard work has made a massive difference.

We’re incredibly grateful for all their help and support as we settle into our new home.

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU ❤️

We would like to say a massive thank you to all of our locals, customers, friends and supporters who came to visit The Bourne Arms today.

Despite a few teething issues and some unexpected challenges throughout the day, the support we’ve received has been absolutely incredible. From those who came through our doors to the many messages of encouragement and understanding we’ve received, we truly appreciate every single one of you.

Today was a difficult day for the team, with a number of unforeseen issues that tested us from the moment we opened. While we always strive to provide the best possible experience, we know things didn’t go perfectly, and we’d like to sincerely apologise to anyone who experienced delays, had to wait longer than expected, or encountered any issues with their meal or service.

Please know that we are taking on board all feedback and are already working hard behind the scenes to iron out these early challenges. Opening and relaunching a kitchen is never without its hurdles, but the patience, kindness and support shown by our customers today has meant the world to us.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of such a supportive community and we’re excited to continue improving and growing over the coming weeks.

Thank you again for your understanding, your support, and for choosing to spend your day with us. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon. 🍻❤️

UPDATE 14:17: We are now running on a reduced menu!

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE ⚠️

It is with great disappointment that we have to announce that our kitchen will be closed for the remainder of the weekend due to unforeseen circumstances.

Unfortunately, some of our kitchen equipment has decided not to cooperate at the worst possible time. Everything was fully tested and working perfectly last week, but today we have experienced unexpected equipment failures which mean we are unable to operate our kitchen.

We are currently arranging for engineers to attend as soon as possible to diagnose and repair the issues.
We know many of you have been looking forward to trying our new menu, and trust us when we say that we are absolutely devastated to have to make this announcement.

We have worked incredibly hard to get everything ready, so this is just as frustrating for us as it is for our customers. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause and appreciate your understanding and support while we get everything back up and running.

The pub will remain open as normal for drinks, and we will keep everyone updated on our progress over the coming days.

Today marks an exciting new chapter as Josh and I have officially taken over The Bourne Arms!
We’re incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve already received and can’t wait to welcome both familiar and new faces through the doors.

We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be opening from 12pm tomorrow for drinks, so come down, say hello, and join us in celebrating the start of this new journey.

Unfortunately, after taking possession of the premises and carrying out our initial inspections, we found that the kitchen had been left in a condition that we do not feel is safe or acceptable to begin serving food. After moving out equipment and starting the process of getting everything ready, it became clear that a thorough deep clean is required before we can safely reopen the kitchen.

As a result, the kitchen will remain closed until this weekend while we bring in a professional cleaning team and carry out the necessary work to ensure everything is up to the high standards that both we and our customers deserve.

While we know many of you will be eager to enjoy food at The Bourne Arms, we will never compromise on cleanliness, safety, or quality. Taking a few extra days now will allow us to reopen with confidence and provide the best possible experience from day one.

We look forward to welcoming you all for drinks from 12pm tomorrow, and we can't wait to share this exciting new chapter with you.
