Moby Dick's Bar Moby Dick's is open to all ranks. Serving cheap beer, spirits, sports, music and witty banter. We aim to be a place where you can come and socialise and relax.

If we aren’t open send us a message and we will see what we can do! We welcome all ranks from all services. We raise money for the RNRMC. We hold social events on a regular basis, ranging from quiz nights to live music. We cater for all sports fans. Oh, we also sell cheap beer with a friendly atmosphere and space to unwind! Mental health and well-being in the armed forces matters

It may not come as a surprise to any of you that MOBY’s has been shut down for almost a year.

We have done everything that has been asked of us and beyond in order to reopen, however, after meeting every milestone again and again, there has been no give.

Thank you to everyone that came over the years, we have always strived to accommodate the needs of everyone on base regardless of rank/rate.

The sad fact of the matter is, although we were an all ranks bar, it leaves nowhere for junior rates to relax or have down time on base anymore. Hopefully one day this will change and the mental health and recreational support of junior rates may be considered.

We raised thousands of pounds for charity over the years, we hosted history and welfare events from Pussers Rum, provided to the welfare committee of the base, to make life more liveable to those on board and was always a place you could be accepted whether you were a new joiner, on course or based on the island.

Thank you to everyone that came through our doors,from the fleet commander to the AB that just passed out of HMS Collingwood, we had some great times and hopefully one day the welfare of all you will be reconsidered and the bar can reopen.
