Albert Road, Southsea. Portsmouth
OUR LAUNCH DAY IS SUNDAY 15th FEB.. Pie, mash & liquor will be available from 12, as will our traditional Sunday roast too.
Beef, Lamb, Gammon & chicken available with all the trimming. (Veggie & vegan also available) Hannah Reem will be performing us some good ol' cockney songs from 3pm to get our Sundayfunday on the go.. Come down & support this great local pub too, with the best landlady in town Kelly Rainey

TO ALL MY CUSTOMERS

I'd like to take this time to personally thank you all for the support over these last few years from the starting of Sophies Pie, mash & liquor shop at the beachlands 2022, The moorings cafe and then to the Maypole Pub. Without all your support I wouldnt have been able to get where I was so i thank you. But as we all know, some good things have an end, and for me I feel my time here at the Maypole has come to its end. This also means sophies pie & mash will be locating somewhere new soon..

This won't happen straight away, as I feel I need sometime to break away from the bussiness head & hop into enjoying some well deserved time with my family.

It's been a rough emotional 2 year rollercoater here guys and your support has been unreal for me and Anthony, that means alot to us, so thank you, We've met some fantastic people along mine and Anthony's journey here in hayling island, and certainly some friends we've gained for life.. we won't forget you all. To everyone who has helped me throughout everything and all the support I've had from local bands, party planners, customers and my staff who have been there for us and who have worked so hard. THANK YOU.

It's only bye for now not forever, sophies pie, mash & liquor will be making its way to a new locations soon, so keep them eyes peeled..

As our time comes to an end here today, please come and join us for one last drink and raise our glasses to us all and the farewell of the Maypole.

We love you all very much..

Polite notice, as people are aware the pub is closing down. Please understand this does not give anyone the right to come in snoop and help themselves around the pub or garden to any of my belongings... The place has CCTV takes registration plates as you come in. You are also on camera... If I also catch you taking something first hand you won't see a very nice me, so I ask nicely please respect this is my home and I have worked very hard to get what I have, not for people to come in and take it.. Thank you very much.

Thank you to everyone who came along tonight to support our final quiz at The Maypole.

Well done to “Unlucky for some” their first win at the Maypole and their second ever pub quiz!

A special mention to “The witches of Eastoke” consistent losers…..but not tonight!!! What a great way to end.
