Here’s a sneak peek behind the hoardings at the Grand Pavilion redevelopment. We’re so excited to be part of this project, which is being led by Bridgend County Borough Council. So much great progress being made by the contractors Andrew Scott Ltd.

Pictured:
- Behind the front façade, protecting the Pavilion’s heritage.
- The steel frame which will increase the footprint of the building.
- The installation of the passenger lift shaft, making every floor accessible.

Have you been wondering about the latest addition to Porthcawl’s skyline? 🏗️

The installation of the tower crane marks a major milestone for the Grand Pavilion Porthcawl redevelopment project; the start of the steel frame installation for the new extension and the replacement east and west wings.

The temporary works required to support the tower crane are immense, featuring a massive 7m x 7m x 2.5m concrete cube base.

The tower crane itself was assembled using a colossal 300 tonne mobile crane, an impressive engineering feat in its own right!

Great to see Andrew Scott Ltd continuing to make excellent progress.

Whether you're new to dance or already love performing, Dance in a Day gives young people the chance to learn new skills, make friends, build confidence and work together to create a fantastic performance in just one day!

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Bonnie Tyler, a true Welsh music icon who will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends and fans around the world.

Please note: for approximately one month from Monday 6 July, Bridgend County Borough Council contractors will be replacing the lower flat roof at Awel Y Mor Community Centre. This will bring an element of disruption, including loss of parking spaces and areas around the building will be fenced off for safety.
