🍎 Harvest 2026 let's go🚜
This is the time of year we work towards—the moment we get to see the results of a full year spent caring for our orchards.
The sunshine this summer has been amazing, but the prolonged dry weather has had a real impact on fruit and vegetable growers across the country. The truth is, no farmer ever fully knows what their yield will be until the harvest actually begins.
Behind every apple, potato and vegetable on our shelves is a farmer who has spent the year working with the land and relying on weather they simply cannot control.
Here at Long Meadow, harvest means early mornings, long days, apple bins filling and plenty of organised chaos! It’s tiring, unpredictable and incredibly busy—but it’s also our favourite time of year.
From Granda planting our first trees to three generations working together in the orchards today, harvest remains at the heart of everything we do.
So, as Harvest 2026 gets underway, spare a thought for your local farmers and support them whenever you can. ❤️🍏
