⭐️ THE END OF AN ERA ⭐️
A Term used all too often, but perfectly fitting for our situation.
We would like to extend a massive Thank You to all of the customers of the Star Hotel. We cannot express how grateful we are for all of the support over the years. A lifetime of laughter and memories made in two decades. When my Mum bought this pub in October 2003, I don’t think she anticipated the magnitude of just how much it would become to mean to people. She made it into a community, a community who comes together through the good times and the bad and showed us such compassion after the passing of my mum. You are part of our family and hold a very dear place in our heart and always will.
To the wonderful staff, you have carried on all of the work my mum put into the Star Hotel and without you nothing would have been possible. The pub would not be the same without your time, dedication and patience. We are eternally thankful for the commitments you all made over the years (& the pish patter you’ve all had to put up with from the punters).
I would also like to take a moment to think about the special people who made this pub what it is and are sadly no longer with us.
It is with a heavy heart we regret to inform you that, at this time, we intend to close next Tuesday 21st March. The Star Hotel will no longer be under our ownership.
I hope you all understand that this was not an easy decision for us to make. The Star is the last piece we all have of my Mum and we are saddened to see it go. It will forever be a huge part of our lives and we feel so lucky to have been able to share these years with you all.
All our love x
