A big shout out to our staff, customers, independent business partners and workshop facilitators who make the Bunch what it is.

Being featured in the The Good Food Guide Top 100 UK Pubs is a real honour and a testament to what we’ve always strived to be: a proper, traditional pub with a clear sense of purpose, a focus on our customers and a commitment to quality. From our ever-evolving line-up of independent craft b**rs and Welsh seasonal menu to our role as a community hub, supporting local businesses, championing community groups and playing an active part in local life, it’s all part of what makes the Bunch.

To be recognised alongside the calibre of The Old Point House, Felin Fach and The Heathcock makes it all the more special. We’re immensely proud to see Welsh pubs so strongly represented on a national stage.

And they couldn’t be more right because the Bunch, along with the stories of our wonderful staff and loyal customers, has a story all of its own.

It’s always been known as the Bunch (the grapes denote that w**e was once sold alongside b**r) and it sits beside a place of Ponty historical significance - the last remaining double lock of the Glamorganshire Canal.

So a big shout out to the building itself and to Pontypridd Canal Conservation Group, a group of men whose selfless time and effort have helped restore the lock and preserve a unique part of Ponty’s history which the Bunch was originally built for - once the lifeblood of this town.

Let’s go Pontypridd Town of Culture 2028!!!!!

Just off a retail park probably isn't where you'd imagine one of Wales' best pubs, but here we are 😍

Tucked behind a B&Q is the cosy boozer which is a blend of wood-burners, exposed stone, rediscovered street signs and pump badges versus a sleek dining room, perfected Sunday roasts and left-field plates of brisket lollipops, kimchi fritters and pulled lamb sandwiches. And it's just been named among the best in the whole of the UK! 👏😋

Following the devastating news that Tara Greene Music couldn’t join us on Halloween, the team turned to art therapy to help them through this difficult time – and are now creatively exhausted! 🎃🎨

Summer’s not quite over at the Bunch but a seasonal menu change is just around the corner! 🍂🔥

We’re getting ready to welcome a warming winter menu, which means it’s nearly time to say so long to a few summer favourites.

Our weekday 3 for £18 small plates offer and set menu will also take a break at the end of November as we make way for our festive menu and the new winter dishes. So if you’ve still got your eye on these two, now’s the time to catch them before they’re gone.

IF WE CAN FIND ANOTHER SUITABLE ACT - WE’LL UPDATE YOU 👻

Long before trick or treating, Welsh communities marked ‘Nos Calan Gaeaf’ when the veil between worlds was said to be at its thinnest.

Spirits roamed, bonfires blazed and tales of the fearsome black sow without a tail ‘Yr Hwch Ddu Gwta’ and ‘Ladi Wen heb ddim pen’ the White Lady without a head - sent children scurrying home before dark🐗💆🏼‍♀️🌚

Thankfully, the only things haunting the Bunch this Halloween weekend will be the acoustic sounds of Tara Greene on the Sat followed by a Sun of Pizza Napoletana with Loaded Dough, games and crochet with Gunita Sapa

Much less terrifying than a headless woman or a tail-less black sow chasing after you 🐗💆🏼‍♀️🎃
