Much excite! Oktoberfest 2026 is rolling round! Kicking off on September 19th, here’s what’s going on at the pub.

19th Sept - 4th Oct
🍻 German b**rs being poured all through the Oktoberfest period.

30th September - German B**r Tasting Evening
🎟️ Ticketed event. £25 per person. DM to book.
🏠Located in the Hatch next door
🍻5 taster b**rs. Showing the best of what Germany has to offer. The best breweries and the best styles.
🌭 Bratwurst Pizza Dog! A traditional German bratwurst but served in our delicious pizza dough. 👌
🥨 Pretzel Cutting Comp - Cut your pretzel into equal weights. Prize for best Pretzelmeister!

3rd October - Festival Night
🇩🇪 This is where have a party!
✅ Open to all. No ticket needed.
🩳 Lederhosen encouraged!
🍻 Official Festbiers on tap, including a special edition wooden barrel festbier from Hofbrau. Tapped live in front of you to kick off the party!

Here’s one of our pizzas that went out tonight. (Thanks Reece Walters for the 📸), and for some reason it’s prob our fav pic we’ve had taken.

This is exactly what we’re aiming for when we are baking. Baked hard with a bit of char. Pronounced bubbled crust. Crispy and chewy. 👌

It might not be to everyone’s taste, but that’s how they come. We’re into Pale Ales, not pale crusts 😂.

We hardly ever take any pictures in the kitchen as the lighting is crap and we’re always in a rush to get the pizza to the table! So just felt we’d share this banger with you! 😍

It’s Tuesday. It’s quiz night. It’s also Tom’s last shift tonight 😭😭😢😢😭😭.

He’s off to spend some time ‘Down Under’, so come buy him a pint and say Hooroo! Tom Davies

Huge thanks for showing up to the Pontyclun Food & Drink Festival today! The rain hit hard for a brief period until the sun shone through!

Big news announcement ………
After 36 years in the hospitality industry we are finally calling time! We’re retiring, it’s been an absolute blast, had some great times and met some lovely people.
We’d like to say a big thank you to all our lovely customers, old and new. Thanks for all your support over the years. A massive shout out to all our amazing staff old and new. A special thanks to my right hand man Dale, couldn’t have done it without you buddy 🥰
Our last day of trading will be Sunday 13th September, no doubt we will see you around the village! 👋
