A Heartfelt Message ❤️
On Sunday 9th November, we closed the doors at The Halfway House for the final time.
It’s hard to put into words just how much this little pub has meant to me over the past 11 months. The Halfway became so much more than just a pub - from the quiet weekday pints to the busy weekends, we’ve shared so many special memories, and I’ll always be grateful for every single one of them.
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us along the way - whether you stopped by once or became a regular, you’ve all been part of something special. Your support, and loyalty have meant the world.
Sadly, with rising costs, it simply became financially unsustainable to keep the doors open. It’s not a decision that was made lightly - The Halfway was my first pub, and closing it has been incredibly difficult. But I’ll always be proud of what we built and the memories we created here.
The good news is that all of our staff will be moving to The Cross Oak, where we’ll carry on doing what we love: serving great drinks, welcoming familiar faces, and creating those moments that make pubs like ours what they are.
For anyone who had a booking over Christmas or for the remainder of November, we should now have contacted you, if we have tried but not been successful, please give us a call, you’ll have the option to rebook at The Cross Oak or, if you prefer, cancel and have your deposit refunded - whatever works best for you.
Although The Halfway’s doors have closed, this isn’t the end - it’s just the next chapter. You’ll still find us over at The Cross Oak, and we’d love for you to come and see us there.
Thank you again for everything - for your support, your company, and the memories that have been made. The Halfway will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤️
