What a wonderful turnout for our Whisky and Cheese evening hosted by Andy Dodd and Katie Baird from The Larder, Yelverton .

We tasted some truly innovative and delectable samples of world whisky that challenged modern perceptions of whisky production.

This selection was perfectly paired with an incredible array of world cheeses that brought something new to everyone's palate. Katie challenged us with some truly unique accoutrements, and a few raised eyebrows soon turned into joyful murmurings of content.

Everyone had their favourite pairing, but the Lochlea and Mince Pie with Picos Blue Cheese was to die for.

The Fig Salami and Gorgonzola were exceptional with the Kyro Oloroso Cask....wow.

Big thanks once again to all those who attended and Andy and Katie for providing and entertaining insight to all things whisky and cheese.

We are definitely having another evening in the next few months, so look out for upcoming posts.

Please visit The Larder in Yelverton for all your favourite delicatessen goods. A family run independent business, they do an amazing hot food counter and of course, specialise in incredible cheese. They are located at Moorland Villas, Yelverton PL20 6DT, near the petrol station.
