We would like to greatly apologise for our sudden closure recently. However we are back up and running from Friday! (25/10)
As you can see below we have made some changes to our opening hours for the winter months and also made some adjustments to our menu🥐

We would like to inform all our followers that after over 16.5 years the Cafe is about to change ownership! We have enjoyed the voyage on the good ship Dutton. We have shared countless moments of both joy and sorrow with our customers, many of whom have become close friends. We have laughed with you and cried with you, many of your pets have felt like our own (without the need to feed them, walk them or take them to the vet, we have enough to deal with with our own!) Running the Cafe has been a lifestyle as much as a means of making a living and we are going to miss having you all in our lives. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your loyal support over the years and your patience and understanding when we didn’t get things right. Please support the new owners especially as the industry faces tough times, independent businesses need your support more than ever. Lastly we would like to thank all our staff past and present, we have been incredibly lucky over the years to have loyal and reliable staff who have always gone beyond the call of duty when required, we couldn’t have done this journey without their hard work and commitment. We are now taking bookings for the British Fireworks competition. No payment is necessary at the moment, we are finalising details of the event and we are likely to follow the same format as years gone by with a meal and a drink in the price. There will be an increase in the price that will reflect an increase in our operating costs but we’ll still be one of the best value for money on the waterfront. The event takes place across the
14th and 15th of August. To book provisionally please email [email protected] specifying number of people, night you’d like to attend along with a contact phone number and email address. Please do not contact us via phone or through Facebook for fireworks bookings. We will reply to your provisional booking to confirm we’ve received it. We will then contact you later closer to the event with full details along with payment instructions should you wish to confirm.
* tables will be allocated on a first booked basis with the sea wall tables going to those who book earliest.
