Big match today 4-2 win against the 'ernie'

Started off with a banging chip from Zac 'pace' Jones.
Ernie clawed back making it 2-2. Frankie with a belter of a goal (I was advised against this but can't help that it was a belter) and Kyle Christie netted the second (mophead apparently B.D)

But don't worry.

We were down to 10 men and guess what, we scored again.

We sadly went down to 9 men and then we suffered.

By going 4-2 up. Easy. Never in doubt cup final for them basic training session for us.

Chris with 2
Zac with 1
Jay with 1 even if they tried to take your foot off your leg.

All in all a good game with Ernie banter aside, genuinely good match from both sides but turns out it's a bit of a grudge match apparently after a few new signings and they give us our first friendly will always be a good game.

Ben: made some important saves kicking was good.. very brave (did it go over the line) 👀

Mark : solid performance up and down as much as he can even when he said he was fu**ed first half. Got involved with triangles

Mason: made a mistake and then turned it around.. solid at the back with no nonsense clearing

Ebs: cool calm as you like as per, good running back sweeping balls over full backs..

Schute: another MOTM performance getting forward cool calm on the ball made impressive and correct decisions with passing

Brady: made some hella challenges. Overturned some lose balls and won them back.. decent spread of play

Ollie: switching play stretching the opposition getting involved with producing goals

Luke: unlucky with the injury made promising runs beating the LB on a couple of occasions

Jamie: solid performance another candidate for MOTM along with a crucial winning goal which he needed to be brave for.. winning balls back and good link up play.

Zac: made a mistake and held his hands up. Once head was in the game made some good dummy runs and passing..

Chris: MOTM performance with decent hold up play along with a Hatty.. linked up well with wingers and midfielders..

Dale: professional attitude walking 2 1/2 hours to play 10 mins didn’t moan at all.. when he came on solid performance at the back making sure no loose balls where causing trouble.

Scott: good coverage of the pitch.. smashing tackles and 2 incredible balls over the top leading to goals. Very good 45..

Charles: some engine on the boy. Very good link up play in the midfield and with Chris.. constantly looking for triangles.. helped with attack and defence

Heartbreak for Fortescue as a last minute winner see’s Division One Seymour Arms go through to the next round of the Devon Cup.

A fantastic display from the underdogs, saw Fortescue going in 2-0 at HT with goals from Rog & Ollie Marshall.

The quality of the away team was shown in the second half with a superb free kick making it 2-1. Straight from Kick off another Rog Rocket made it 3-1 with 25 to play. Further pressure from Seymour Arms forced the game to 3-3 with 10 minutes to play. A last minute finish through a number of bodies won the game for Seymour Arms, who played out the rest of the game.

Was a big test for Fortescue but what a performance from the boys!

Gaffer Reece O’Donnell has this to say:

"I really do not know what to say.. on one hand I am absolutely gutted and on the other hand I am so incredibly proud of every one of the lads today!!"

"We have played a very good side 3rd in the top league who have lost one game this season! It felt just like the FA CUP.. "

"But we will go on to our league game where we will be full of confidence!!"

"We can beat anyone on our day with a performance like that!"
