From Monday all covid rules will be removed and we will be returning to normal operation.

Standing drinking, pool and darts will be reinstated; masks and distancing will no longer be required.

Pubs have the option of continuing to enforce rules, we have chosen to decline this option.

The QR code will remain displayed but we won’t require it to be scanned, we will not be taking contact details on paper.

We ask that customers choose to act in a way in which they feel safe and know they are free to continue to follow covid rules if they feel it is appropriate to do so.

Our opening hours from today, and throughout this outdoor drinking restriction, are:-

Mon: 4pm – 8.30pm
Tues: 4pm – 8.30pm
Wed: 4pm – 8.30pm
Thurs: Noon – 8.30pm
Fri: Noon – 9.30pm
Sat: Noon – 9.30pm
Sun: Noon – 6pm

The Grand Reopening starts this week!

It has been a long, but necessary, wait and we are now looking forward to seeing you all again.

For the next month drinking is allowed outdoors only and we have been working hard in the garden in preparation.

As for all pubs, there are rules to be adhered to:-

Everyone must use the Track and Trace App or the paper version when entering the pub.

Facemasks must be worn when not sitting down in the garden.

Also, remember this is England: be prepared with thermals, sun cream and umbrellas! Please feel free to bring a folding chair to spread yourselves out on the lawn (and be guaranteed a seat!).

For this first month (until the 17th of May) our kitchen will be closed.

Opening hours for this first week (the 12th of April) are:-

Mon: Noon to 9.30PM

Tues: Noon to 9.30PM

Wed: Noon to 9.30PM

Thurs: Noon to 9.30PM

Fri: Noon to 10PM

Sat: Noon to 10PM

Sun: Noon to 6PM

Only two weeks to go now!

After Boris’ announcement about the possible checking of vaccination certificates\passports to be allowed into pubs some people have expressed concern to us.

We will most emphatically NOT be requiring to see any paperwork to gain entry to The Crown.

Introduce a brewers support fund for small breweries
