As the day draws to a close
We look back on the year
And all the memories we’ve made

Some are no longer with us

Both here in the pub
And also at home
For here at The Stag
You won’t drink alone

Someone’s ear you can bend

We’re a community pub
That will always be there

So now we look to the future
Not forgetting the past

On Christmas Day our beloved Rufus suddenly collapsed during dinner and just an hour later crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge. There were no warning signs throughout the day. He was surrounded by his family and he knew he was loved.

RIP Rufus. 💔💔 Go fetch the pheasants!

Congratulations to the Pie People for winning last nights quiz!
As you all know, we hold these quizzes for local charities and causes. This one was for and you all raised £600 to help towards transport costs, loss of earnings and to support them as they navigate this extremely challenging journey that they face.

Betsie is a beautiful 3-year-old girl, well known in the community for her bright personality, big character and the joy she brings to everyone around her. In August, Betsie was sadly diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Since then, she has undergone countless treatments including chemotherapy, steroids, lumbar punctures and blood transfusions. Despite everything, this incredible little girl has faced it all with remarkable courage and strength, continuing to amaze everyone with her bravery and resilience. Her incredible parents, Zoe and Paul, have shown the same courage and positivity throughout this unimaginably difficult time. Every bit of help, love and positivity means the world to them.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support to these deserving causes.

We are asking that this person be flexible regarding shift work and able to provide a welcoming atmosphere to regular and new customers.
Must be over 18 and able to work weekdays, weekends, lunch and evening shifts. This role would also require someone to work Bank Holidays.
