Well what can we say!!! WOW Thank you so much. Colin and I would like to thank everyone who came in to see us for our last day in the Duck. It has been the most amazing send off and far beyond our expectations. The cards and gifts are all so thoughtful and will be treasured by us. It’s not goodbye as we will be popping back to the village for visits and we hope that you can visit us in our new home once we are settled in. The time has come for us to say goodbye as it’s our last shift in the Duck. We would like to thank each and every person who has made our time here so great ❤️
We are open from 2pm till late and we would love to see as many as possible come through the doors today 😊. There will be donuts too 🥰

Myself and Claire would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has supported us over the years through some very difficult times especially these past few years. It has been an amazing journey one full of amazing people and memories good and bad that will stay with us forever. But it is with a heavy heart and some sadness that our journey at the Duck and Drake must come to an end. We would like to invite you all to join us for a drink and nibbles on our last day at the Duck on the 30th of January.

This time last year, after finishing his third pint, we said cheerio to our Nigel as we did everyday after his visit. Only this time was the last time as he sadly passed away. Nigel was the best and something changed in the pub that week and it has never been the same. We are thinking of him and our Big Kev as we open up today ❤️❤️❤️

Please excuse the very bad photography 😊. Yesterday we had the best day down the Duck. All our favourite pooches (plus 2 new babies - 13 pooches in total which is not our record but still brilliant) just kept coming in one after the other and they all had the best time ❤️❤️❤️
