Here at the Stoneworks, we have always prided ourselves on serving the best drinks by the best producers. Unfortunately, we are limited in what we can serve and therefore need to cherry pick our products based upon a multitude of factors. Unfortunately on the beer side of things, this means that many fantastic beer producers, both big and small, often don’t make it on to our taps. This year for the tap takeovers, we are trying to focus on some of those very breweries.
For our May TTO, we are bringing in 2 fantastic breweries you rarely get to see anywhere near these parts. One we had a TTO with many years ago, and the other has never graced our taps before.
Abyss brewery is a fantastic brewery out of Lewes. They dabble in a bit of everything, but their flagship beer, Dank Marvin, is the big showpiece...and it's coming in extra fresh! This doesn’t mean that the other beers should be ignored, their crisp rice lager and Imperial Cacao stout are both top tier and the rest of the list is nothing to be sniffed at. The long and the short is these guys are making some incredible beer and we happen to be lucky enough to be able to show off everything they have in keg at the moment!
Leigh on Sea is another fantastic brewery out of, well, Leigh-on-Sea. While they may not be a household name in these parts, they are making some great beer that might just change that.
You want a quaffable low gravity nitro stout? No problem. Fruited sour? Yep. Pales and IPAs? They've got you covered. These guys are the jacks of all trades ... they do a little of everything but still do everything well.
So please join us on Friday, 30 May when Abyss brewery and Leigh on Sea Brewery take over the taps! All beers on from noon.
