Fingask Friday flower: Zantedeschia aethiopica, also known as the Calla lily, from the Greek meaning beautiful. The flower is actually a modified leaf not a traditional petal.
They are native to South Africa.
Flowering in spring they are a symbol of new beginnings making them perfect for a wedding bouquet.
The Fingask Calla lilies currently flourish by the front door of the castle and were a wedding present from our dear friend and neighbour Cherry Strange of Megginch RIP
