The Studio Bar is Penzance's famous original live music bar - nominated "Best Music Venue" WOCA 2015. Hidden away in Bread Street, a back street of old stores and warehouses behind Market Place, the venue promotes live original music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year. The Studio is a haven for musicians, artists, poets, comedians and anyone who wants to perform on Tuesday's o

pen mic. night or just enjoy a drink and a chat in the bar's intimate late night atmosphere. Thursday night is usually reserved for acoustic artists but the weekend is the time for high energy performances with attitude from original local Cornish to International touring bands. Entry is free apart from after 10 pm on a Friday and Saturday night when there a nominal charge of £2. The Studio Bar is a Free house and offers the usual wide selection of wines, beers, lagers, ciders, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. Our local brewery Skinners' Helligan Honey and Betty Stogs are our very popular cask ales with Skin Dog lager and Press Gang cider on draught if you fancy a real Cornish drink.
