Mikes last Mayday 🍻
It’s his last mayday, did you not know?
He’s one of the best, the star of the show!
The grey goat will never be quite the same,
Let’s be fair it’s probably going to be lame!
You see Mike is the man with the crap jokes,
He likes to talk to every lass and bloke.
You can talk about horses or football too,
Just mention the tractor boys, c’mon you blue!
He may have been grumpy when the musics too loud,
No dancing on tables, but he will video it proud!
Poker on Mondays with his mates was a must,
“Girls did you add Martin’s Fosters or we will go bust!”
You see Mike just ain’t any ordinary bloke,
He lends people money when they’re broke!
He will always try and make you smile,
It might not last, but it works for a while.
He has time for everyone whether you’re young or old.
You could be shy and quiet, or loud and bold,
Never rude, never angry, always true,
He’s a friend to all, me and you too.
Pint in hand with a smile on his face,
Surrounded by friends in his favourite place,
That’s Mike at the grey goat, just doing his thing,
Making everyone feel like a regular queen or king!
Alright let’s face it, his banter can be s**t.
The golf he plays maybe miss or hit.
One things for sure we will miss him you know,
We will have lost the best landlord this town has to show!
And If he thought he’d escape without a poem from me,
Silly Mike for leaving me an admin, hehe! 🤣🤣
