Please see the below article from the Penarth Times regarding the sentimental picture that was taken from the pub.

The offer to return anonymously and/or with no questions asked still very much stands.

Keep sharing please everyone!
Thank you 🙏😊

‼️Important notice to all recent customers‼️

We are trying to locate a picture that was unknowingly taken from the pub on one of the final evenings that we were open. The picture is shown below. If anyone has it, or knows where it might be, we would be very grateful if it could please be returned, with no questions asked. It saddens us to think that somebody could take something of sentimental value without having asked.

We do not mind how it is returned to us, even if this is done so anonymously. But if you have it, please find a way to get it back to us somehow - no questions asked, we would just like it returned safely.

Please share this post after reading as we want to ensure it reaches as many people as possible.

Once again, we appreciate your support 💜
Thank you.

As the Clive has closed it's doors for the last time, us bar staff wanted to put out a message to all customers who supported us as a team, from our trusty regulars, to those who propped the bar up on a daily basis, and everyone in between!

If those walls could talk, there would be millions of tales told! There's been so many amazing memories made in those four walls, and they have all been special to each of us as a team. Working at the Clive never came without fun and laughter; plenty of tears too, some of joy, some of sadness.
The Clive was a unique and special pub to us all, full of character and of course, not forgetting the 'characters' who drank there!

There will never be another place like it.
We will miss working at the Clive and serving you all your much needed pints, being a listening ear and most of all having a laugh. It's most definitely the end of a fantastic era!

Thank you for the wonderful memories 🫶
