Great food and drink, events and activities including Snooker, Boules, Darts and Bingo and indoor skittles. The Limpsfield Royal British Legion is a social club and registered charity that has was originally built in Grub Street in 1920 – a hundred years ago this year and is a favourite drinking and socialising hole for Limpsfield locals, ramblers, cricketers, bridge players, the rotary and families. In its unrivalled location at Grub Street, it really is the perfect place to while away an afternoon in the sunshine, have a spot of lunch, socialise with friends or make use of the many facilities on offer, including darts, indoor skittles, play area, snooker room, boules court and live music. Open to both members and non-members. Membership helps to keep the club running and allows it to offer very sociable prices for food and drink!The RBL Club Limpsfield Ltd is a members club with an annual subscription, part of which goes to the national body the Royal British Legion, some goes to the local branch of the national body and a small amount is retained by the RBL Club to provide the facilities detailed here. The Club is a limited company governed by its own articles and by the Friendly, Industrial and Provident Societies Acts 1965 & 1968. Local Supporters of the Club include Limpsfield C.E. Infant School, Governors and School Association, Oxted & Limpsfield Cricket Club. Associated local Community Organisations include RAF Local Association, Royal British Legion Branch, Oxted & Limpsfield Rotary Club (who meet every Tuesday lunchtime), Limpsfield Community Orchard, Oxted & Limpsfield Cricket Club – based from the neighbouring clubhouse and the local Bridge Club. Non Members are welcome but why not become a member; the membership year starts in October. We have a close relationship with the local infants school, and encourage use of the club by families.

Bank Holiday Monday at The Legion, Limpsfield – It’s a classic!

If you remember Chicory Tip's Son of My Father reaching No.1 in 1972, you'll definitely enjoy our bank holiday entertainment! Back by popular demand, Chicory Tip will be playing on Monday afternoon 2-5pm in our secluded beer garden, a proper suntrap. The beers will Hey You The List be flowing and Billy our Chef will be tending to the BBQ from 1pm!

The Limpsfield Royal British Legion Club always offers a packed programme of activities, including jam nights, bingo, boules, snooker, darts and skittles, making it a real hub of village life.

Visitors to the Limpsfield Royal British Legion can also see a fascinating new exhibit.

The former display – a Coldstream Guards tunic and bearskin once worn by Paul Gandolf – has recently been returned to its owner, but it has been replaced by an impressive Royal Marines "Blues" tunic belonging Limpsfield Royal British Legion branch member and local resident, Richard, who served as a Royal Marines Lieutenant.

Richard joined the Royal Marines in 1977 and, after completing his commando and officer training at Lympstone, served with 41 and 45 Commando. His service took him to Cyprus and Northern Ireland before deployment to the South Atlantic during the 1982 Falklands War.

As Assistant Operations Officer with 45 Commando, Richard landed at San Carlos, crossed East Falkland with his unit, and took part in the operations leading to the liberation of Stanley.

After leaving the Royal Marines in 1982, Richard studied Geology, served with 23 SAS (Volunteer), and later enjoyed a long career with BP before retiring locally.

Complete with a beautifully polished Sam Browne belt and medals, including the South Atlantic Medal recognising service in the Falklands Conflict.
