Thank you to everyone who came to our Opening Night on Monday - we had a blast, and hope you did too!

We are delighted to announce that with the combination of raffle money and drinks profit, we have been able to donate ยฃ250 to The Art Room, Oxford. We would like to thank the Oxford Playhouse for sponsoring the event, and of course everyone who came along - we couldn't have done it without you!

For our final event of Arts Week, come along to SJC's Pink Art Bop tomorrow night!

3rd week is Pink Week, and we will be raising money for charity (breast cancer research). A donation bucket will be by the bar, and you can also buy sweets for 50p each! If you are a St John's student lucky enough to have friends from a different college, you can sign their names up on the guest list.

Let's end Arts Week with the drunken, pretentious celebration that it deserves!

For a relaxing start to the weekend, come over to Kendrew Events Room for our Dip/Dye/Draw: Art Fair from 11.30am tomorrow.

The fantastic Harriet Aspin and Hadassah Bรผchner will be around to talk you through three different activities: paper marbling, tie dye, and still life sketching.
๐ŸชPLUS a selection of yummy refreshments to feed your creativity ๐Ÿช

All materials (including t-shirts) will be provided but feel free to bring your own stuff along- INCLUDING any clothing/tote bags etc. that you'd like to tie dye!

In addition to our Art Exhibition, don't forget to head over to the Kendrew Barn at St John's tomorrow for Disposable Perspectives: STAR Oxford.

Open to all and free entry, this eye-opening photographic exhibition will platform the views of people living in Parisโ€™s newly opened Porte de la Chapelle camp. It will also serve as a reminder that despite the Jungle clearance, help and aid is still very much required across Europe and the Middle East.

We'll also be fundraising for a local refugee/asylum seeker charity as well as Help Refugees. Don't miss this rare opportunity!

Bored of 3rd week? Want to try something new? Come to John's does Strictly: Latin dance demo & workshop tomorrow at 3pm!

In a session led by experienced Oxford dancers, you can watch in awe as they glide across the floor of Kendrew Events Room... and then they will teach you the basics!

Perhaps most tempting is the possibility that, after tomorrow, you'll never look awkward in a club again... ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Organised by the fantastic Greta Sharp, you can come and view the work of St John's students including Annie Busuttil, Marco Samuel Fabuลก, Laura Boddy, Emma Platt and Georgiana Wilson. They have prepared an amazing variety of work for you, including painting, film, installation, drawing and even calligraphy. And if that doesn't catch your interest...

It's almost time for Kendrew Events Room to be transformed, once again, into Johnnie Scott's Jazz Club!

From 8pm tomorrow you can hear the sweet sounds of Oxford's finest jazz musicians, including performances from Fran Amewudah-Rivers, Alex Wilson, Ben Clapin, Matt Ward, & loads more!

It will be a delightful evening full of interesting nuggets of information, and will give you a rare chance to hear about poetry in languages such as Slovenian, Turkish and Portuguese. The students involved in the session are all super knowledgeable AND friendly - we promise you'll love it!
