There are worse things than unexpectedly finding yourself in Otley, especially when you get to enjoy a lunch like this.

Edith found us through Tripadvisor, brought the dog along, sat in the covered Terrace and left calling Buon Apps “the bee’s knees”.

We’re not going to argue with that. Thank you, Edith, for such a lovely review and for sharing your photographs. We’re very glad your unexpected visit brought you our way.

At the time of writing we’re down to the last seven tickets for Jacqui’s Million.

On Thursday 24 September, we’ll be sitting down together for a three-course Italian dinner, with Adam Lacey singing live, and raising money for Leeds Cancer Centre.

Nobody takes much notice when we pour a glass of water. Cocktails are different. One of these being made behind the bar and then everyone’s reconsidering what they were going to drink. 🍸

We hear this quite a lot. What happens between that sentence and two desserts arriving at the table is one of life’s little mysteries. �

It’s easy to forget you’re only a few minutes from the centre of Otley.

On the Terrace, you have the River Wharfe just beyond the glass, greenery all around and, fortunately, a roof for when Yorkshire remembers itself.
