Dear Railway Inn Customers,

We are greatly looking forward to the
Penybontfawr Show on 29th August 2026.

As is our experience tells us, the village will be filled with laughter and great times.
The Railway Inn wants to reflect this joy by making changes that help more people to have a grand time.
From 1:00pm to 9:00pm, the Railway Inn will be selling our popular range of "Basket Meals"
The choices are;
- Sausage
- Scampi
- Fish Fingers
- Chicken Bites
all come with chips
Optional Bread & Butter, Onion Rings are available.

The Railway Inn kitchen will be focused only on these meals during Show Day which means that evening service will be this too.
With the good weather the nation is enjoying, there will be sufficient space inside and outside the Railway Inn and we hope that everyone has a fabulous time.

Kitchen Update
Our principal cook unfortunately is struggling to walk at present and therefore we ask for your understanding relating to 'what is possible?'

The Railway Inn is a small country public house and only has a capacity of 20 seated customers. At this time of year, it is very feasible for the Lounge to be full of customers who have arrived happy and after great food, leave happier.

We would like to request that customers make a booking with Susan rather than eating by arriving at the Railway Inn.

You can contact Suzie on 01691 860447 / 07885 375625 or by making a table booking face to face prior to the requested table day.

KITCHEN HOURS AT PRESENT
Wednesday 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Friday 5:30pm to 7:30pm
**Saturday 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Sunday 12:30pm to 2:00pm
6:00pm to 7:30pm

**Our famous and loved Basket Meals will still be available on Saturday Lunchtime between 1:00pm and 3:00pm

We understand that this maybe painful to all our returning customers and we sincerely apologise, but we hope that you will still support the Railway Inn to keep independent pubs alive.

* * * PLEASE NOTE * * *
Unfortunately, due to a sudden injury, the Railway Inn will be lacking in kitchen staff on Sunday 12th July and therefore with great regret, the decision has been taken to cancel Sunday lunch for this weekend only.
The Railway Inn apologises sincerely for the inconvenience that this will cause to our many regular Sunday lunch customers, but all will return to normal on Sunday 19th July.
