🧠 1. Charity Quiz Night
Date & Time: Wednesday, 17th June at 8:00pm
The Details: We are raising vital funds for Hope House - Tŷ Gobaith - Children’s Hospice. Bring your cleverest friends—maximum team size is 6 players, and it’s just £1 per player! We’ll also have a raffle on the night. Hosted by our regular quiz master, Tyler, with special guests Steve & Janet joining us!
🍳 2. Father's Day Breakfast & Challenge
Date: Sunday, 21st June
The Details: Treat Dad to an unforgettable day! Alongside our Father's Day specials, are you brave enough to take on The Highwayman Breakfast Challenge? For £17.50, try to demolish 8 pork sausages, 4 bacon rashers, 8 hash browns, 4 fried free-range eggs, baked beans, grilled tomato & 2 slices of toast (a whopping 3,602 kcal). If you beat it, it's TOTALLY FREE! 🛑 Booking your table today is highly recommended!
🔢 3. Charity Bingo Night
Date & Time: Wednesday, 24th June at 7:00pm
The Details: We are on a mission to raise £1,500 to fit a life-saving Defibrillator box right outside our pub. It’s an easy entry event, all ages are welcome, and we have 12 games of bingo with some fantastic local prizes up for grabs. Come have some fun for an incredible local cause!
🎭 4. Gavin & Stacey Themed Quiz Night
Date & Time: Sunday, 28th June at 7:00pm
The Details: "Crackin' quiz, my love!" Calling all fans of Barry and Essex! Come and get minted at our ultimate themed quiz night. Expect great prizes, drinks, laughs, and plenty of omelette jokes. Only £1 per person. No need to book for this one—just turn up!

🎄 BREAKING NEWS FOR YOUR FEED 🎄
I don’t want to cause panic, but we are officially 7 months away from Christmas.
Yes, I know it’s currently the hottest day of the year. Yes, I know my sweat is currently sweating. And yes, my internal thermostat is screaming "iced coffee," but my heart is screaming "mince pies." 🎅✨
Honestly, today is the perfect prep for the festive season:
The blinding sun is basically the Star of Bethlehem. ☀️
My melting makeup is giving a very festive "Frosty the Snowman in a warm room" vibe. ☃️
And the absolute roasting heat in my living room is just practice for when my dad refuses to turn down the heating on December 25th. 🥵
So, while you’re out there frying like a pig-in-a-blanket, just remember: Santa is watching. He’s swaping the sleigh for a jet ski, trading the hot cocoa for an iced margarita, and he is officially taking bookings!
