So here it is, we can't postpone this any longer. It is with the greatest of regret we have to advise the Royal Oak has ceased trading as our family has moved to Lincolnshire for new adventures. We delayed posting to give us time to secure our future plans. This was never going to be an easy post to make and I have dreaded the day :(
Martin will be around until the end of the year as we close down and sell on bits and pieces we no longer require. If anyone wants to buy anything watch this space or call in for a chat.
We are aware the word has been out there for some time since we closed our kitchen, but the various rumours, including that we closed the kitchen because we're vermin infested, are complete BS, fabricated by someone with nothing better to do. Seemingly because they saw a pest control operative visiting :D :D ... we don't have a pest problem, because we have a pest control policy!!! duh
Anyway, while our time at the Royal Oak has been challenging and the steepest of learning curves, we have enjoyed meeting all of you! Thank you so much for all the fun and laughter, we've had some right times. We love all of you and are sooo very grateful for the support you have shown us throughout!!
To our team members who stuck by us through thick and thin - you're the best and we will be forever grateful to you!

*EDIT - as to the future of the business, we only run the pub, and have no dealings with the actual building, so what happens from here is out of our hands. I know there is plans for someone to move in, but I don't know anything further*
