WE’RE HIRING! 🍻🍽️

We’re looking for friendly, reliable Front of House / Bar Staff to join our team here at The Whitmore Arms. 👀

We’re a busy pub and restaurant, so we need someone happy working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys dealing with people and, most importantly, is a good team player.

Applicants must be 21+ due to the responsibilities of the role, and you’ll need to be available to work weekends and Christmas Day (please apply only if you can commit to these shifts).

Experience would be great, but a friendly personality, reliability and a willingness to get stuck in are just as important to us. 😊

We’ve got a lovely team here, and we’re looking for the right person to become part of it. 🤗

FOUND iPHONE – ORSETT 📱

One of our chefs at The Whitmore Arms found an iPhone in Medbree Court, Orsett, and we’d really like to get it back to its owner.

We’ve tried the emergency contacts and Siri without any luck, and surprisingly nobody has called it yet!

We’re keeping it safe and charged at the pub, hoping someone comes looking for it.

If you or someone you know has lost an iPhone around Medbree Court, please contact The Whitmore Arms.

We’ll ask you to describe the phone/case or unlock it so we can make sure it goes back to the right person. 😊

A little look at what was heading out of our kitchen over the Bank Holiday weekend... 😍🍽️

One family table, lots of different tastes and something for everyone!

We cook our food from scratch using fresh ingredients wherever we can, because if we're going to do something, we want to do it well. No fuss, just proper food that we're proud to put down in front of you.

And judging by the empty plates coming back to the kitchen, we think this table approved! 😂❤️

Just a little heads-up for Bank Holiday Monday. 😉

We'll be open as usual from 12pm, with food served 12–6pm, and we'll close the pub a little earlier than normal at 8pm.

The rest of the Bank Holiday weekend is business as usual, so there are plenty of opportunities to come and see us! 🍻🍽️

And if we don't see you, we hope you have a lovely, well-deserved Bank Holiday weekend... well, those of you lucky enough not to be working anyway! 😂

How lucky are we to have THIS at our pub every single Thursday night?!!! 🎸🎶

Talented musicians playing live, right in front of you, in a small, intimate setting... it really does feel like your own private gig! 😮🙌

And the best bit is... no tickets, no entry fee. Just book a table and make a night of it, or pull up a seat at the bar and enjoy the music. 🤗

Every Thursday from 8pm. 🍻🎸

Our brand new Thursday Blues Jam Night kicks off tomorrow from 8pm, with the Clay Hill Blues Band, hosted by Robbie Blake.

Everyone's welcome, so come down, grab a drink and help us get our first one off to a brilliant start! 🍻🎶

Who said vegetarian options have to be boring? 😍

Our Goat's Cheese & Heritage Beetroot Salad is one of those dishes that looks every bit as good as it tastes. Goat's cheese, heritage beetroot, walnuts and mixed leaves, finished with a balsamic & Acacia honey dressing. 😋

Fresh, colourful and a lovely lighter choice when you fancy something that isn't going to leave you needing an afternoon nap! 😂

And don't forget, you can enjoy this one at home too. Our takeaway menu is available Monday to Saturday, 12pm–8pm.
