Our lovely round table looked rather special recently, dressed up for an 85th birthday celebration with a beautiful afternoon tea. 🥰

Dainty china, pretty little teacups, delicious food and, most importantly, family and friends gathered around the table to celebrate someone very special. ❤️

We really do want everyone around the table to enjoy their meal, whatever their preferences. ❤️ 🌱

Here are a few examples of vegetarian dishes we've recently served at The Whitmore, including our 'No Chicken' Pie, vegetable lasagne, and even a little pizza and chips for younger diners. 😋

But these certainly aren't your only options, because we prepare our food from scratch, and our chefs can adapt many of our dishes to suit different dietary requirements. 🤗

Just mention any dietary requirements when booking your table, and we'll be happy to discuss what we can offer. After all, going out for a meal should be something everyone can look forward to! 😊

NO BLUES TONIGHT! 🎸

Just a little heads-up that there will be no Thursday Blues Night tonight (8th October) or next Thursday (15th October), as Robbie is away on tour. 🎶

The Whitmore is still open as usual, though! ❤️🍻 Our bar will be open, and we'll serve food and drinks as normal, so please don’t let the lack of blues stop you from coming to see us! 🤗

It’s only a little break, but please spread the word to anyone you know who usually joins us on a Thursday. 🙏

We haven’t even advertised Christmas Day yet… and we’re already almost full! 🎄❤️

So we thought it was only fair to let everyone know before those last few tables disappear.

Perhaps you spent Christmas Day with us last year and would love to come back, or maybe this will be your first Christmas at The Whitmore. Either way, please don’t assume there’s plenty of time to book – we’d genuinely hate for any of our regular customers to miss out because they didn’t realise how quickly we were filling up.

Not every pub opens its doors on Christmas Day, but we do. ❤️ We love being part of your celebrations, taking care of the cooking, the serving and, most importantly, the washing up! 😂🥂

Now this is proper comfort food. 😋❤️

Our fish pie served with seasonal vegetables... piping hot, freshly prepared and exactly the sort of dinner you start fancying when the evenings get a little cooler. 🍽️

No unnecessary fuss, just good ingredients and proper home-cooked food made with care by our kitchen team. 🤗

Sometimes the traditional dishes really are the best. 😊
