Feeling somewhat down. Many of you will know that a few years ago I ran a little sound company, and through that I worked with a lot of names, some of them very well known. One band we worked with a lot that should have been a household name were P45.
Tragically I’ve heard this morning that the drummer of this band has passed away. As a drummer, he was tick-tock. A metronome. The timing was spot-on. As a bloke, one of the best.
Dustin Lee Burgess. Rest easy, fella.
We went with these guys from pub gigs to nearly making it to the big time. All of them incredibly talented, and their music deserved
More tragic is it’s now that’s two from this band that are no longer with us.
Thoughts are with the family and friends.

Saturday’s Zanzi-Bar menu was beer, cider and rugby with Chris, Kim, Josie, Dave B joining myself and Bex and a great afternoon it was. Tonight saw the Billericay Boys descend on the bar for the round ball game. Tim was upset with the Spurs result, whilst me and Heavy were gloating at Newbs and Martin’s expense until the Man Utd equaliser against the Hammers in stoppage time. Great night.

Spent a big part of today clearing up! A pretty good Christmas Day evening in The Zanzi-Bar with the fam-a-lam. A new thing for the bar, a karaoke evening, and they had an absolute blast.
All we heard was “when can we do it again?”.
Even the hostess with the mostess loved their warbling!
Well done Bex!

A great afternoon of rugby yesterday with a work colleague and near neighbour in The Zanzi-Bar. I can only describe Dave as a master brewer, and he brought a crate of his talented creations with him. They certainly were tasty creations. And with a delayed reaction. An hour or so after we’d finished the product showed it’s teeth and him me right between the eyes, and that was my night done. Suddenly, tilt - game over. Time for bed……..

The blue tit chicks in the nest box on the front of the bar are doing well. Always hungry and bloody noisy!
Parents are constantly in and out with food and it’s nice just sitting and watching.
As far as I can see there are three of them in there.
