Firstly, our hearts go out to the families of those affected by last week’s horrendous incident. We can’t begin to imagine the pain and distress.

Having grown up here, this really isn’t something we ever thought we’d need to consider, not in Ormskirk. It is all horribly surreal.

However, we must now, collectively as a town, do all we can to prevent something like this from ever happening again.

For our part, The Mustard Club will enforce a strict *No Search, No Entry* policy - this includes consenting to a metal detector check. There will be no exceptions, no excuses and no option. Anyone who refuses will be turned away.

There will be some who may feel this is extreme, even knee jerk, however we are confident they will be in the minority. We are simply trying to put the safety of our team, our guests and our community above all else.

We now have Emergency Response Bleed Packs available in both The Green Room and The Mustard Club.

For all those who choose to join us over the weekend, please bear with us whilst we adjust to the new entry policy. Thank you.

😍😍😍 All ready to go, now we just need you! So if you’re fit and we’ll, step this way at 10pm tonight! Remember though if you are showing symptoms (we all know them by now!), please save the party for next week, we’ll still be here!!

Mask wise, they are completely optional. We’ll be wearing ours and if you feel the need, you’re welcome to keep yours on too but it's entirely your choice. We still have the NHS QR code at the front door and we’ll continue to use more than our fair share of sanitiser. Everyone’s safety and comfort is what matters.

Only a few hours to go until we finally get to see everyone again! Our very own will manning the decks right from the off at 10pm folks, make sure to get here early as we don’t want anyone to miss out!

Thank you to everyone for all the love so far, we’re so excited to be back too!
So a few FAQ’s about tomorrow…

We will be opening up our doors again at 22:00, and for our opening weekend we won’t be taking bookings! Just first come, first served (literally!). The weekend will be a little different as we allow up to 80% of our normal capacity. Fear not though, aside from a little extra space it’ll be the same Mustard Club you’ve been missing so much! We’d like nothing more than to be back to 100% straight off the bat but we think this is an all-round better approach, we hope you agree.

We’re sorry it’s taken us this long to respond but we’ve been wrestling with what to do and, more importantly, how to do it. After a week of back and forth, we’ve decided to give 4th July a miss. It’s just not the right time for us to reopen.

It’s not that we don’t want to. We miss The Mustard Club terribly and can’t wait to get back behind the bar and see you all again. We could open the doors, with all manner of rules and guidance in place but, honestly, where’s the fun in that?

We know that for lots of you, we’re a home from home and that’s why the decision not to open was so difficult. We want to make sure we can deliver the same welcoming, friendly and personal service that you’ve come to expect over the last 10 years. Problem is, we feel in the current climate and with the restrictions in place, we just couldn’t deliver on our promise.

We’re going to wait a little longer and see how this weekend pans out, then work out how we can best do our thing. In the meantime, we’ll crack on and get ready for the big comeback!

Don’t worry folks, we’ll be back soon enough, handing out big smiles and great drinks like the good old days!
