Update:
We are pleased to hear that the invasive Japanese knotweed will be treated and removed from the island on the duck pond.
We hope to see nesting boxes installed, along with other measures to protect and improve the habitat for ducks and other birds.
The duck pond is a natural habitat that supports ducks and other wildlife and helps to protect the biodiversity already there. Ulster Wildlife
Restoring the pond and bringing the enclosure back to a suitable standard will be a great addition to Gortin Glen Forest Park Co Tyrone. It will provide an important habitat for wildlife while also creating an attractive feature for visitors and tourists to enjoy.
