“The truth comes out when you’re drunk”
has to be the biggest lie ever told!!
Tell us the biggest lie you or a friend have told when the drink was in. The unhinged versions are preferred!
Here’s a few stories to start.
{Name} once argued with a friend wan night years ago that she had all 32 county jerseys. He challenged her the next day (she didn’t remember the night before for some odd reason) turned out she had 7 👩🦰
Back in the day when Facebook was the main source for socials and wishing your virtual fb friends a happy birthday was mandatory, by the end of a birthday girl’s day, half pished, she wrote on her status “Anyone who didn’t wish me happy birthday will you please remove yourself from my friends list” She was mortified the next morning 🙈
“I once told my mother after a few that I was leaving the island to go and work as a lollipop woman in OZ next week, I didn’t have a passport and I didn’t even like lollipops” 🤷♀️
“Told my girlfriend (dating at the time) one night that I was asked to be a stunt double for Liam Neeson” 🕺
“Always tell my friends to ring me anytime! Or that we’ll hang out next week..
I never answer my phone and once sober I’ve no interest meeting them for anything” 🙄
“Said to my boss once that I’d work every hour he needs, not a bother!
I don’t even wanna be there at any time” 👺
“I’d love to bust you- I say to my best friend” 🤡
“We should grab a drink together some night” I’ve said to someone I can’t stand! 🙅♂️
“After tonight that’s me off it” 🤥
“I’m gonna get up early tomorrow and start the gym” 🤷♂️
So no, the truth does NOT come out when we’re drunk, the truth comes out more when we’re sober.. As most of our staff here have worked in pubs over 20 years, we know that’s not the truth! So if your anxiety is playing up over something you think you said or done, don’t worry about it and yes we’re all talking about ye.. JK we’ve all been there and you’re the only one thinking about it. (Unless you crossed lines, then we’ll talk) ✌️
Love you, bye 🥰
