Alongside her teaching, Lisa continues to work professionally as an actor and is represented by Atius Management. Her screen and radio experience includes credits such as Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Brassic and the short film Being Billy, working alongside Con O Neil, directed by Ian Puleston Davies. As an active performer, she offers students valuable insight into the realities of self-taping, audition technique, commercial performance and the discipline required to work confidently in front of the camera.

Key skills Lisa helps young performers develop:

Passionate about nurturing emerging talent, Lisa creates a supportive and engaging environment where young performers can explore their creativity, strengthen their technique and gain the confidence to bring truthful performances to screen.
“What most people don’t realise is the opportunities that extend beyond those roles on the stage or in front of the camera. For me training within a performance capacity, whilst meeting the needs of those wishing to become actors, dancers or singers, can also venture beyond those three skill areas. It opens up the opportunities for so many other jobs that we often forget exist. Whether that’s within casting, producing, directing, writing, working in a technical capacity or becoming an agent etc…there’s so much more out there.
We need more creative individuals and even if you to choose not to continue within the industry you will still go into whatever course/job you opt for in a much more, confident, self-assured and creative manner, enabling you to bring the best out of those around you as a result. It’s a win-win regardless. Enjoy the process of creativity, become not only better at your craft but also enjoy the process of playing and the positive effects that can bring to you not only as a performer but as a person”.
