Changes are a coming! We have always found our current booking system for our pontoons and moorings to be a bit clunky and not quite the right fit for us, but also didnt really know of another option.

However, this winter all that changes! The lovely Iwan, from Digital Druid is building us a completely new booking system. Yippee!

We know what we didnt like about the old one, what bits drove us so mad that the computer would be in danger of being thrown in the sea! However we are interested to know what you think of our old system. Good bits, bad bits, down right ugly bits? Drop us an email and let us know your thoughts.

For our island and pontoon guests! Sadly we wont be running late night ferries... our ferry drivers will be manning the halloween games and judging the costumes!

We will be holding a Halloween party this Saturday. Children's party food (donations gratefully received), prizes, games and fun. Adults very welcome- prizes for the best adult outfit too!

Our pizza ovens will be on and the bar will be open. If you on kerrera and fancy chasing away the storm blues then pop down! We would love to see you.

Ooft! That is quite a storm! So far so good. We have been out checking throughout yesterday afternoon, through the night and again this morning. And all is well. Just bracing ourselves for the next bit.

One of our customers received this email, allegedly from me yesterday.

Fortunately he knows us well enough to know that i have never been and will never be our '"head of finance"! Although I do admit to signing some emails with a x! If you have been sent one of these as well, please delete it and dont reply and absolutely dont pay the invoices to the above account!

All the appropriate security checks and changes have been done so there should be no more emails sent. **erthismodernworld

What a birthday weekend! A weekend racing around the Isle of Wight on a clipper 70 with these gorgeous people.

The only bit of me that doesn't hurt are my earlobes, I've had bu**er all sleep and Im not sure im ever going to be able to lift my arms above my head again but what a brilliant time!

Thank you guys for all the laughs, the adventures, the ridiculousness, the memories. We didn't come close to winning but we definitely won the best team award. So proud of us! Much love ###x

A shout out to our summer 'youth' who have now come to the end of their season with us for this year.

These people are honestly some of the kindest and most hardworking people you will ever met and we love watching them blossom each year. This summer has been incredibly busy on the pontoons, in the yard, in the resteraunt and they have all powered through it with such grace and ease. We would be lost without them.

The last couple of months have been so difficult and how they all managed to navigate their own emotions as well as keeping the wheels of this small village turning and support us through one of the hardest things we have ever had to deal with I will never know! Their maturity, kindness and ability to keep on smiling through the tears will never leave us.
Thank you!

So, now its time to scatter to various corners of the world, go have adventures, go chase your dreams, come back when you can, you all know that our doors will always be open for you. And remember that there is an extra star up there, smiling so proudly down on you all.

Just an update on our ferry pick up/collection point. The slipway is unaccessible for us due to ongoing repairs. So for now we will running to amd from the north pier pontoons. If the gate is locked then popninto theboban harbour office and ask them for the code or check your emails once you have booked, all the information will be in the email.

Just to let our ferry customers know that tomorrow from 1030 our ferry will come onto amd leave from the oban times slipway instead of the normal slipway.

Thats it folks! The end of season has arrived. The specials board has been wiped clean. The kitchen is now closed for October to give our chef a well earned break... which is just as well! He was starting to look a bit ropey around the edges!

...if he is still speaking to me in November then we will aim to be open for lunches in November but we will keep you posted.

Our opening hours are now as follows:

Office and workshop - Monday - Friday 9am till 5 pm
Fuel berth - Monday - Friday 9am - 5 pm, Sat/sun 11 - 5
Ferries - Monday - Friday 8. 20 - 6pm, Sat/sun 10.30 - 6
Sauna - Monday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm, Sat/sun 11 - 5
Bar and coffee corner - Mon - Thur 9 - 6, Fri 9 - 9, Sat/sun 10 - 6
Resteraunt closed for Ocrober.

We will review at the end of October and adapt these hours as needed.

When the local lifeboat comes for a sleepover!

The Campbell Watson has come to stay for the 2 nights, she has had her bum washed, then tomorrow I am reliably informed that she will have her Hamilton jet drive stripped, cleaned and antifouled, a few gel coat chips repaired, her hull will be reantifouled and some fresh anodes before being relaunched on Wednesday ready some autumn action.

Fun fact, obans rnli station has the longest coastline to cover. Some 460 + miles! So she needs to be kept in tip top condition to allow her crew to get to you speedily if needed.
