Writing this…I’m leaving the Starting Gate in July ♥️💔

This is so tough to write… my last shift at my beloved Starting Gate pub will be the 5th July

I have been given a fantastic opportunity for promotion taking my next steps in my career moving to The Ferry Boat stoke Bardolf
-bigger pub
-new brand
-getting me closer to area manager role which is the long term plan (but still lots to learn in the business)

This has been such a difficult decision pulled on my heart alot..
I absolutely have loved the just under 4 years I have been at The Starting Gate and will cherish the memories and what I have learned forever

Really put my heart & Sole into the pub
Yes sure it’s had some real challenging times with the current economy and struggles hospitality face but the pub has such a soul and heart to it

The team are not just my team but become my family
Leaving them is going to be the toughest times but we will always have each other and il continue to support them

From bringing regular karaokes, building a reputation for a welcoming pub, building a strong hard working team and so
Much more, I take so much happiness from what’s been achieved and could not of done it without my amazing team

I’m very excited to take the next steps and new challenge and hope to see many of you still being at a neighbouring pub ♥️

I will miss so many and have made some real friends for life running the starting gate

I will still be around and popping in when I have time

Harry will be taking his next steps in stepping up in his first role as a manager, he’s supported me from the get go and has learned so much
This is his opportunity to step up too!

I’m so sad to be leaving but I hope I have everyone’s support ♥️♥️
