The Salutation Keyworth Nottingham The earliest recorded evidence of the Salutation being used as an Inn is in 1675 in the Nottingham Sessions Roll of the Inns of the county.

At this time there were two licensed houses in Keyworth, the 'Hammer and Pincers' at the North, or Church end of the village, and the 'Salutation' at the South end. In 1800's the 'Hammer and Pincers' gained an evil reputation for cock fighting, man-fighting and disturbances of the peace and the Inn disappeared from public records. This means that the Salutation, or at least parts of it, is the old

est Inn still in existence today. These days the Salutation is a friendly, family run pub serving fine food and real ales. Food serving times are:
Monday - Saturday 12- 9pm
Sunday - 12pm - 5pm

Booking is advisable for dining Monday - Sunday

We have a childrens' license until 9:00 pm with conditions that can be viewed on entry.

Another weekend jam packed with entertainment for you, Live music both Friday and Saturday handpicked by the amazing Lowri-Ffion vocalist from 18:30 and of course our pub quiz as usual on Sunday from 19:00.

Weather holding all weekend with light showers Sunday morning so the garden should be at its best again.

It’s Quiz time at the Salutation! No work on Monday so no excuse not to head down. The more players the higher the prize, all welcome.

As previously, I will be open Bank Holiday Monday from 12pm till 10pm so make the most of the absolutely sublime weather and have a pint, cider (or perhaps an Aperol Spritz) in the garden. UV 7 so don’t forget the suncream and sunnies☀️

Special Bank Holiday Opening Hours

We will be open from 12pm rather than the usual 3pm tomorrow to help you make the most of your Bank Holiday Monday.

We have our full complement of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, Black Sheep Best Bitter and Castle Rock’s Harvest Pale ready for your enjoyment along side our usual selection of wines, lagers, ciders and spirits.

Here comes the sun! ☀️

Quiz night on Sunday was great fun, I’ve never had a round where everyone has scored 0 but thoroughly enjoyed the round!

Open mic last night was also great but we’re all looking forward to the weekend already! Tropical temperatures and cold drinks, what more could you want?

We also have Matt Palmer returning on Friday to accompany your weekend drinks with a mix of saxophone and vocals!

It’s quiz night!

What an incredible night last night was. Thank you so much to Missing Cat who put on a show and everybody for coming out and creating an amazing atmosphere!

I’m back tonight to do the quiz at 7pm so I hope so see all of you there. Last week was amazing with 36 people playing the quiz and we hope to have even more this week!
