Reverse Festival

It's that time of year when Reverse Festival is usually putting the finishing touches to our plans and getting ready for the big event....this year you may have noticed the radio silence!!

Over New Year one of our committee was taken ill and spent several months in hospital. Thanks to a determined spirit and incredible medical care she is well on the road to recovery, but it wasn't possible to put an event like Reverse together without a key member of the team so we reluctantly decided to follow Glastonbury and take a year off. We hope all our loyal Reversers understand.

We have always been incredibly lucky to have the support of Cotgrave, so as it would have been festival weekend, we wanted instead to do something for our community. This Saturday Team Reverse are going to be spending the day volunteering at the Cotgrave Scout and Guide Hut to give it a thorough spring clean.

Although it's not the plan we had for Reverse 2018 we're pleased to be able to do something positive instead. We're sorry not to be fundraising for worthy causes this year so if you want to support us then please consider making a small donation to a charity of your choice this weekend (a few of our favourites are Reverse Rett, Ashlea School and Sepsis Trust) and we're hoping to be back in 2019.

So Reverse Festival - that's it for another year - the site has been put to bed, the decorations packed away and the crew have enjoyed a well earned rest...

Our heartfelt thanks to every single person who baked, sang, built, donated, danced, cooked, photographed, designed, facepainted, auctioned, posted, DJ'd, ran, secured, welcomed, delivered, fed and watered Reverse 2017.

Once again, an amazing reflection of what this community can achieve together.....there are a few final bills and donations to clear but our estimate is that Reverse Festival 2017 raised a staggering.....£8000.....for our two exceptional charities Ash Lea School and Reverse Rett

Any talented bakers out there? Whether you are coming to Reverse or not, we would welcome any cake donations to feed the festivals goers through the evening.

There will be people on site throughout today and tomorrow if you would like to drop off some goodies. Or message us and we can get a crew member to pick them up if you are local.
