Hailing from the almighty Nottingham (U.K.) T.O.N.E.S collective, Trekkah has been instrumental in building up regular Afro House events in Nottingham for the last 6 years. Through music releases, events and pre-recorded showcases, Trekkah has Connected the collective to an international family - performing at events alongside Afro-House greats such as Boddhi Satva, Enoo Napa and Modorasindahouse.

Playing a blend of Afro House, Deep and Soulful House and Afro Tech, Trekkah’s passion for African-music (both electronic and acoustic) is radiated on the dance floor, taking audiences on a spiritual, sonic journey.

Trekkah has had releases and live sets featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1xtra, Selector Radio, Les Gout, Pan African Music, Drums Radio and more, releasing his music on labels such My Other Side of the Moon, Celsius Degree Records and Open Bar Music collaborating alongside producers and vocalists such as Kreative Nativez, Kryptic UK, Eli Fola, Tina Ardor, Mr Norble Guy, Hardihood, Lizwi, Dr Feel, Idd Aziz, Kusini and IC.

MYDIR is an artist rapidly etching his distinctive imprint and influence upon the electronic scene. His deep emotive sound and precise production prowess saw his first EP 1987 soar into the top ten of the Afro House charts and announce his arrival in some style. His distinctive take on the deep house sound interweaves spacious grooves with afro rhythms, organic percussion, and melodic hooks that compel listeners to the dancefloor. His foray into Ibiza’s club scene as a promoter gave him insights into the workings of the industry, In the studio, MYDIR expertly transmutes these global influences into coherent dancefloor weapons. Fast forward to the present, MYDIR has his own event Nyumba in Manchester. The night is the home for Afro and melodic house in the North working alongside Weareidyll records head honcho Dj Bushman

Bushman is a London-based DJ and the founder of WeAreiDyll Records, known for his deep, driving Afro House sets and dedication to pushing African electronic music worldwide. His sound blends rich melodies, soulful rhythms, and long, immersive transitions that take crowds on a journey. Starting out at 18, Bushman quickly gained traction with bookings across the South Coast, and later established himself through standout guest mixes on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Selector Radio, Drums Radio, and more. Inspired by pioneers like Black Coffee and Themba, he brings both passion and precision to the decks. Never bound by genre, Lwanga’s selections weave together these vibrations, always guided by a deep connection to rhythm and soul. Don’t be surprised by unexpected twists - Jungle, R&B, Hip-Hop and Edits may find their way into the mix, keeping the energy fresh and the dancefloor moving. Starting their journey in Glasgow, Optimistic Soul is the driving force behind Africa Is Now, a Club night dedicated to promoting Afro House music and culture, founded in Glasgow 2022.

Through this night, they foster a space where fans of Afro House can connect, dance, and experience the music in its purest form, helping to elevate the genre within the UK’s vibrant dance music scene.
