It is with a very heavy heart that we have to inform you all that in our 10th year at The Newmarket, we have made the extremely difficult decision to not renew our lease.

This has been an extremely difficult decision to come to and one that we’ve agonised over a hell of a lot! But due to the changes in drinking trends since the pandemic, paired with the huge impact the pandemic had on the industry and the rising costs of running a pub like this in the current climate, we feel now is the time to move on to pastures new..

We would like to publicly praise our amazing staff that we’ve had work for us over the last 10 years (past & present) it’s been an absolute pleasure to have you all as part of our journey!

Our Doorman Darron who has been a constant welcome to you all over the last decade and kept us all safe & in check! His loyalty and hard work has been unwavering from day 1.

Our amazing Dj’s……..
Diane Freeman, Blue Savannah, Dj Trev, Dj Bri, Stevie B, Dj Big Gee (Nick) & Pete Martine…The nights have been memorable to say the least!

And fond memories of Dj Cliff Fox (rip)

Thanks to the amazing bands we’ve had here over the years, especially The Skas & Mispent Youth who have been with us to celebrate all the big days like St George’s & NYE etc. And not to forget the amazing Drag shows we’ve had too!

But seriously, none of the last decade would’ve been half as enjoyable without our amazing, loyal customers, most of whom we class as friends, some we class as family. We’ve celebrated your weddings, engagements, birthdays, we’ve sung and danced and partied together and shared all these great memories we’ll hold onto for a lifetime. I honestly don’t know how I’ll say goodbyes to any on you! 😢
We have so much love for you all ❤️

We’ll look forward to having a bit of a social life for once! And hopefully see some of you on the other side of the bar… and u might catch me pulling the odd pint up the coach every now and then 😉
