MONDAYS just got even better at The Hand & Heart… 🍺

As if £3 pints on ALL cask ales wasn’t enough, we’ve now got a new permanent Monday face behind the bar.

Mike joins us from this Monday, a proper local cask enthusiast with over 20 years around the scene, bringing knowledge, passion, and a love for real ale to the pub every single week.

Mondays will now officially be his thing. It gives the team a well earned breather after the weekend madness, whilst letting Mike do exactly what he knows and loves most… talking cask, keeping ale properly, and pouring great pints.

Expect perfectly kept pints, rotating guest ales, proper pub chat, and someone who genuinely cares about serving cask beer exactly how it should be.

He’s already talking about Banked Bass… which tells me we may have created a monster. Guess you’ll just have to pop down and try it for yourselves!

Whether you’re a seasoned ale drinker, a Bass loyalist, or just fancy a proper pint in a proper pub, Mondays are now sorted.

Choose from sirloin of beef, lamb rump, belly pork, lemon & thyme chicken, our steak & ale pie or the vegan keema & potato pie. Then finish things properly with sticky toffee pudding, treacle pudding or one of our homemade pies & custard.

No fuss. No pretentious nonsense. Just proper Sunday dinners, good drinks and candlelit caves.

Expect soulful vocals, stripped back acoustic vibes, jazz, blues and songs you know and love delivered properly… with feeling, not karaoke.

• Have previous hospitality experience
• Can work evenings & weekends
• Can handle a busy service with a smile
• Actually enjoy hospitality and talking to people

Sunday done properly at the Hand & Heart.

Roasts served from 12–5 today, a few tables still left and as always we keep some space back for walk-ins too. Dogs welcome, muddy paws and all.

Crispy roasties, proper gravy, fresh seasonal trimmings and a pint in hand inside our candlelit caves. That’ll do nicely for a Sunday.

It’s Friday… which can only mean one thing. The Gaffer’s Special is on.

I’m feeling generous today, and seeing as I can’t eat all the fish myself, I’m knocking 20% OFF our Fish & Chips if you quote “Facebook” when ordering.

Thick flaky cod in our Bass batter, crispy mint leaves, homemade tartare sauce and chips that are dangerously good. Pair it with a pint of your favourite or a crisp glass of white and your Friday’s sorted.

Fresh from our local fishmonger, cooked to order and served properly.

This Saturday at The Hand & Heart we welcome live acoustic singer Greg Fidler.

Expect indie, rock, classics and singalong favourites played properly, candlelight on, drinks flowing and the caves sounding exactly how they should on a Saturday night.

Greg’s performed everywhere from weddings and private parties to events for McLaren F1, UEFA and Audi UK… now he’s heading underground to Nottingham’s favourite cave pub.
