After 19 years, it's with the heaviest of hearts that we've made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of The Seven Oaks.
This isn't how we ever imagined our journey would end.
Like so many pubs, we've faced challenge after challenge over the last few years. The rising costs have made it harder than ever to keep going, and after the last flood, our insurance payout simply wasn't enough to cover the repairs. We did everything we could to save the pub, putting the remaining costs onto credit cards and giving everything we had to keep our doors open. We truly have fought until the very end.
The Seven Oaks has never just been a pub to us. It has been our family’s home, where we've spent 19 years of our lives. We've celebrated weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, Christmases and New Year's Eves together. We've watched children grow into adults, who first visited years ago, laughed together, cried together, and created memories that will stay with us forever.
To every single customer who has walked through our doors, thank you. Your loyalty, kindness and support have meant more than you'll ever know. Many of you started as customers but became lifelong friends, and that is something we'll always treasure.
To every member of staff, past and present, thank you. You have been the heart and soul of The Seven Oaks. Your hard work, loyalty, friendship and dedication have helped make this place so special. We couldn't have asked for a better team, and we'll always be grateful for each and every one of you.
We're heartbroken that this chapter has come to an end, but we're also incredibly proud. Proud of what we built. Proud of the memories we created. Proud that for 19 years we had the privilege of being part of so many people's lives.
Thank you for every pint, every meal, every celebration, every conversation and every smile.
The Seven Oaks may be closing its doors, but the memories we've shared will stay with us forever.
Our official last day will be Sunday 2nd August but we invite friends and regulars to come and join us on Saturday 8th August for one last drink at the pub ♥️
