🎉 BLACK IRIS BIRTHDAY! 🎉

Hey folks! We can’t quite believe how quickly the Taproom’s 5th birthday has come around, not to mention a whopping 15 years of Black Iris Brewery too!

The brewery has brewed up some very special limited edition brews for the birthday weekend, and here are some SNEAK PEAKS of the designs in awesome sticker form by our resident artist . All of the beers are BLACK IRIS AND FRIENDS collaborations, featuring lovely people that we love working with, including Crosby Hops & Loughran Brewers Select, Kraft Werks, Corner Stone and Burton Bridge Brewery.

Every online order of our new birthday beers will come with a LIMITED EDITION sticker pack, containing 6 vinyl stickers featuring artwork for all the beers as a thank you for supporting and celebrating with us for all these years!

You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out when the beers go live at 9AM!

Don’t forget, we’re celebrating all weekend at the Taproom and will have 20 lines of different beers, all Black Iris and Friends collabs, from over the years, as well as some special guests! AND pizza on Saturday and Sunday!

It should be a fantastic time (despite the weather, sods law innit) and we hope to see you there!

Dennis & Thrasher Session IPA Black iris X Radical Way brewing collab 3.8% - Krush Cryo, Eggers special T90 at transfer. Conditioned on Strata T90. This super crushable session is absolutely delicious and available on keg and in cans!

The Oracle - Spruce and juniper Braggot 4.0% Black Iris X Nordic Giants collab
We brewed this Braggot, an ancient style of beer that’s basically if mead and beer had a baby with Celtic roots, in collaboration with instrumental post-rock duo, Nordic Giants, as part of our band collaboration series for August.

We layered the mash down on a bed of Spruce and Juniper branches, nodding to the Finnish sahti style of brewing. We then enriched the beer with plenty of Scottish heather honey and added even more juniper berries and spruce tips in the kettle and primary fermentation.

The finished result is a sweet, subtle, spicy, but ultimately refreshing pale ale, sitting at a sessionable 4.0%.

NEXT WEEK! Our 15th birthday and taproom 5th birthday bash celebrations!! We’ll have 20 lines of different beers focusing heavily on some classic Black iris beers including 4 BRAND NEW beers!! Come and celebrate have pizza and enjoy the weekend with us!
