We had a lovely time at Saturday's FCS Dance & Picnic in the Park - what a beautiful setting for an afternoon of summery fun. Thank you to our DJs - Dave, Vic, Ollie, Mel (and Andy), Mark and Trudy for sharing their favourite dancing tunes with our Fine City Swing crowd.

Don't forget that next month's tea dance will be at our regular venue of Chantry Hall on Sunday 13th September 2026, at our usual time of 3.30pm. And whilst you have the number 13 in your heads, remember to save the date for our Fine City Swing Christmas dance (yes, I know, I know, it's still August) on Sunday 13th December too!

URGENT NOTICE!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, today’s tea dance at Chantry Hall is cancelled.

We’re really sorry for the late notice and we hope it hasn’t caused any inconvenience.

If you’re already in the city, we’re dancing on Upper St Giles in the sunshine for another hour, so please come and join us!

Once again, please accept our apologies and we look forward to getting David ‘The Mailman’ back behind the decks soon.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Fine City Swing Forget-Me-Not Tea Dance on Sunday - whether that was with your presence in person, with your online and cash donations or with your thoughts and wishes sent from afar. It was a very moving afternoon, held in the memory of our beautiful Vikki but which also celebrated the spirit and values of our swing community and the friendships we have formed which take us beyond the bounds of the dance floor.

We are so pleased (and slightly amazed) to say that we raised an incredible £1143.82 through donations, entry fees and the raffle. This sum will be split equally between our two nominated charities, Nelson's Journey and Mind Mental Health, as chosen by Vikki's family.

Thank you again, every one of you, not only for making Sunday such a special occasion but for all that you bring to our swing dance community, as the uplifting, passionate and inspiring individuals that you are. Together we have built something wonderful in our Fine City and we should be both proud and grateful for that.

Just a reminder that our June tea dance is coming up this Sunday and this month, it's in aid of two very important charities and in memory of a beautiful person.

It would be lovely to see friends and dancers from far and wide attend this if you can.

What a lovely turnout for yesterday's Fine City Swing tea dance! Thank you to our brilliant guest DJ Simon Michie for a great afternoon of swinging tunes. We hope you'll come back and play again for us soon.

But in the meantime, please keep Sunday 14th June 2026 in your diaries for a very special charity tea dance. It's a date you won't want to forget.
